How to stay focused on your Goal

Goal! this is one of the trending topics that has made a separate room in our mind these days. Each and every one of us has planted different goals in our lives, being healthy, earning more money, being a doctor and you name it. But does that mean that we will actually be able to reach that goal? Absolutely not! And why is that? It’s because we cannot remain aligned with our goals or often lose our focus.

First on, we should stick a very important thing in our heads which is to ask ourselves one question honestly without any barrier, i.e.

“Is the Goal I have made up for myself really coming out of me or from external pressures?”

You should absolutely be clear about the answer to this as most of us believe that our goals are actually coming out from us while it is, in fact, coming out of the external circumstances in our lives instead of our inner being.

We see an actor becoming rich and famous and we run for it. Our parents tell us to be a doctor or an engineer, and thus we make an image of it. In this way, society pressurizes us to think differently and live differently. This way, we believe that our goals are coming out of us but in fact, it actually comes out of the fake external factors mostly. And the sad part is that we, ourselves become unknown about it.

Therefore, at first, always ask yourself if your goal is actually coming out of you or someone else has planted it up in you.

And in case, if someone else has grown it on you, the chances are very low that you will be happy even after achieving it. Therefore, first note down the goal that you have actually made out for yourself disregards the opinions of the others. And always remember, if you have set out your goal by yourself, you will have a less chance of demotivation. If your goals are coming out of your inner out, you won’t require any kind of external motivation to run for it.

Next, ask yourself the second question: “Am I ready to do the works and sacrifices that I need to do to reach my goal?” Well, if you are not, then you might have set the wrong goal. Maybe you are more allured towards the results and appreciation you will receive after you reach the goal instead of the patience and sacrifices required for it. Remember, Thomas Edison tried 1000 experiments before he could finally invent the Light Bulb.

If you have a positive response towards the 2nd question, then finally ask yourself the third question. Answer it honestly from the core of your heart. “Can you do the works that are required to reach your goal for Free?” Yeah, I definitely mean it. Leave the thought aside if you will be actually able to make money from your goal or not. Just imagine that can you actually be able to do the works for free even if you don’t get paid for it? Well, why am I asking this question? Its because sometimes we unknowingly set our goals visioning end goal as money.

 

And if your goal has any financial concern attached to it, you probably will have less focus on it. In this case, you will be much likely as an animal enclosed inside the cage for the greed of bait. Take the greed here as the money factor which most of us run blindly after.

To conclude the topic: Firstly ask yourself these 3 significant questions and honestly answer it. Only by then, you’ll know if you have set the right goal. Your goal must be something that also adds value to someone else’s lives, be it a single person. It shouldn’t just come out of your selfish motive. And as it’s always said, ‘Happiness overpowers when Shared’.

Once you have made the right goal in life, you don’t require any external motivation in life. In fact, you will yourself be a fire filled with motivation who will ignite the lives of the others.

5-morning habits that will boost you throughout the day

Let’s talk about all of our busy days in which we have no much time to follow up on our daily healthy habits. Most of the time we remain lazy and inactive but do less focus on what’s making us feel so. Today I’m talking about some of the daily morning rituals we should follow to make our day go active and feel more focused and energetic throughout the day. Here I have pointed out some of the daily morning habits/routines we should follow:

1. Make your bed by yourself

This is one of the easiest yet difficult habit for most of us out here. When facing big tasks in our life, we often give fewer priorities to the small ones. When you are facing big tasks in your life, the little details are the most important ones. So make a habit of making up your bed by yourself as soon as you wake up, before accomplishing the big tasks.

2. Drink 1-2 glasses of water

Drinking water early in the morning is immensely good for our skin and body health. As we have lots of toxins in our body pushed in throughout the day, what drinking water does is it flushes out all the toxins in our body and help to remove the risk of many diseases.

It’s also a secret behind our glowing skin as it removes the unnecessary toxins in our blood too. So guys get ready to grab up a glass of water as you open those sleepy eyes.

 3. Exercise

 Most of us know the benefit of exercise but we keep it under a  less priority. By exercise, it doesn’t mean that one should be hitting on the gym, carry large dumbbells, or do any sort of heavy workouts. It just means we should develop a habit of doing any kind of physical workout, even stretching is one of a kind. Walking around a park, running, or any form of physical exercise that stretches your muscles and tightens you up. What it does is remove the lazy animal in you and boost you up throughout the day so you can achieve a higher level of productivity.

 4. Wake up early

Not all the early wakers are the most successful people in the world but what the habit of waking up early does is make you active and have sufficient time to follow your morning rituals,i.e do exercise or bath or even have a cup of coffee and more. Waking up early helps you have more time to invest in yourself and make your day worthwhile and boost your productivity.

 5. Don’t use your cell phone for at least an hour

We all have grown a bad habit of checking our cellphones as soon as we open our eyes. Technology has been our first priority list than our health. As soon as we wake up we check emails, texts, watch social media feeds, watch videos, surf the internet, and waste our valuable time is unknown. This wrong habit leads to draining our concentration level, thus resulting in having a boring and inactive day.

Research suggests that getting constant notifications can trigger stress. For example, In a survey of nearly 2000 workers in the UK’s work center, it was found that constant email notifications are linked to a higher level of anxiety. In other analysis at the University of British Columbia, researchers asked 124 students and professors to check their phones frequently after waking up throughout the day for one week and the other week, they were only allowed to check only 2-3 times a week and disable all the notifications. Guess what? when the time to look at cellphones were restricted, the participants reported lower stress levels and higher feelings of positivity. So guys know what’s draining up your energy and save it for your beautiful day.

So, these are some of the easy and effective morning rituals one should follow to boost himself/herself up and be productive throughout the day. As I always say “THERE IS NEVER A RIGHT TIME TO DO THE RIGHT THING.”

The Power of CHOICE

An average working adult nearly makes about 14 decisions between the time period of two hours before he wakes up. The number may vary on an individual basis. From the study done at Cornell University, it states that on adult makes 75(+-) decisions a day. As soon as he/she wakes up, the first decision made is to snooze or not to snooze, should I check my cellphone or not what will I wear today or will I go to work or not. In this way, being a human being we make various conscious and unconscious choices throughout the day. But taking the decisions without a proper plan and choice is what we lack which leads us to moan about our luck. Well, what if I told you there was a better way to make decisions in your daily life and save you from the regret you make by yourself. If so, let us continue…

Here, I will talk to you about your wonderful “POWER OF CHOICE”. When we have fewer choices in life we are not in a natural manner but are compelled to take immediate decisions of life big or small(or something we say “GO WITH THE FLOW”.This process carries on every single day and every single hour. Everything we can change in our lives is directly proportional to the choices we make. So, we need to know about the power of our choice.

We should utilize our power of choosing the right way. Example: If you want your body to be fit from fat, but your choices are to eat junk foods, sleep all day, be lazy, and don’t do any physical workouts, you will end up with the same old you. So, in this case, your choice and expectations do not fill in the same cup and at the conclusion, must of us(people) end up blaming our destiny and luck when the problem is with our choice.

New life comes from new choices but one should be able to make conscious choices. When you can change the force that controls you, you can too change anything that happens in your life. When we are in a wrong state, we end up making wrong decisions but when we are in an empowering and strong state, we make up great decisions. The state or place we are now, in our life are all the consequences of the choices we made in our past. Every one of us wants to progress, but none of us want to change as like said:” EVERYBODY WANTS TO GO TO HEAVEN BUT NOBODY WANTS TO DIE.” So what puts our life in a crisis is we’re all being reinforced to make choices and decide immediately.

Most of the people, they eat, they drink, they smoke, they hate everyone because they are rewarded from within to be so. Hence, whatever gets rewarded gets reinforced and whatever habit or behavior gets reinforced, it comes to habit, and soon, doing it for long, this becomes the part of our personality and finally, we end up believing its who we are and live a life of misery.

So, here my point is to have an idea of what you want beforehand and try to anticipate a future decision that must be made.”THE POWER OF CHOICE” is yours to keep an if you can prevent regret or make more conscious decisons, why wouldn’t you ?  CHOOSE WISELY.

Why should you choose your company wisely?

Even if you always pack yourself full of positive thoughts, meditate on the positive things in life, and are able to discover your passion and get along with it, but if the friend circle or the company you have around you are wrong, no one can stop you from diminishing. In this way, you won’t be able to live your life exploring new dimensions instead you will live your life on a dilemma. If we have acquired good genes from our parents but if our company is bad, good genes have no power to overcome.

During the old times, once a man asked Buddha, who should we have a company with so that we can embrace our life to the fullest? Buddha calmly replied, “Find an enlightened one, if you cannot find him, at least find a transformed one who has a good knowledge of spiritualism and wisdom but if you can’t even find him, go for a light-minded one, if you want to be a spiritual person, find a spiritual one. If you want to be a painter, find the one who paints, if you want to be a singer, find a good singer.

While if all these cases are denied and you cannot find anyone of the same kind as you are, WALK ALONE like a rhino in the forest rather than to compromise your company with a foolish one.” These beautiful wisdom36 lines by Buddha give a clear vision of what, as a human being, our company should reside too. A research conducted by the researchers and psychologists at Harvard University has claimed that ” You are an average of five persons you spend time with, on a regular basis.” This implies that bad company insists you in following the trail of darkness and confusion while a good company will always embrace the goodness in you and support you to explore the deep realms of life of which you are unaware of.

Therefore, the choice is all in your hands my friends, if you want to embrace your life full of bliss with the right company or you want to live a life of despair and tragedy with the company of the wrong ones. What is the true meaning of education?

Have you ever thought about why we are being educated, why you are learning history, geography, science, and what else? Have you ever thought about why you go to schools and colleges? What is this so-called education all about? Our parents send us here because they themselves have passed a certain examination and taken a certain degree to get a job or they too are following what their parents did. So, have you ever asked why you are here? Do the teachers know why they are there? Should we not find out what this struggle is all about-struggle to study, pass examinations, to get a job and the list goes so on. Should our teachers not help us to inquire into all this, but not only merely prepare us to pass examinations?

Boys pass the examination to get a job and earn a livelihood. Do you think that passing examination is going to make us understand the whole significance of life? Some people are very clever to pass examinations, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they are intelligent. Many boys study merely to get a job, and that becomes their whole aim of life unknowingly, after the job they get married, they have children, but still live a life of misery and life becomes a constant battle till they die.

What’s the case for girls?

In the case of girls, their parents are concerned about getting them married. And, at the conclusion, all of us are concerned about what people may say if we do this/that. So, do you think we are aware of how time goes on? Should we not find out what is the meaning of education, why should we be educated, what is the real meaning of it? Education is something that shall set us free from all fears and failures of life but not keep us caged and compress our thinking.

Intelligence

Education doesn’t mean being able to read and pass an examination. It depends on cultivating intelligence, finding the true art of living. By education, I don’t mean to be cunning or trying to be clever in order to outdo somebody else. The number one barrier for one to become intelligent is “Fear” so we should be aware of the causes of fear so we can live from childhood or young free from fear. Most of us are afraid all the time. We may not have thought about it but almost everybody in this world from grown-ups to children has some kind of fear growing at their heart.

Therefore, education is what should be responsible to free us from fear. In school, the teacher must be free of fear to teach their students. What is the good of teachers talking about fearlessness if they are themselves afraid of what neighbors may say, afraid of wives, husbands?

In matters of this kind, we need teachers who are intelligent, intelligent in the right sense, not just in the sense of having passed BA, BBA, MBA, etc. If we can arrange to have a period in our schools and colleges to talk about these matters with our teachers, we could make a big step in knowing thyself. So, learn to find the real meaning of education, the education which teaches us to be alert, to question, to find out the truth, so that our own initiative may be awakened, rather than just get us a degree or job.
